Michelle Turner, baby expert, talks about lying down, startles and developing counterbalance in infants and toddlers.
Michelle Turner, creator of Movement Lesson™, explains how she works with movement in a six month old and incorporates it into a session with an adult. Here she shows one of the possibilities to integrate balance through the pelvis so the underlying leg can be incorporated to the pre-crawl and getting to all fours.
Michelle Turner and Diane Peña are working with an infant (almost 3 months of age) with torticollis. Quickly, they realize that he's not tracking an object. As Michelle works with the function of his system, Diane is stimulating eye movement. In less that twenty minutes, his vision kicks in and he learns to follow an object and starts to re-correct his torticollis. He is a twin, born at 36 weeks. He spent 5 days in a NICU. His brother was evaluated during the same session.
Here's an update on David. He had a Movement Lesson at 4 months, 5 months and one at 6 months old with Michelle Turner. You can see where he was at 4 months
