A Focused Approach to Movement
Movement Lesson™ is a therapeutic approach to optimize an individuals movements through touch. This gentle application inputs function into the skeletal, muscle and fascial systems to create a synchronized ease of execution in gravitational mobility.
Out of necessity to help her globally delayed child, Michelle Turner created a special movement therapy (Movement Lesson™) that helps special needs children throughout the world. Movement Lesson utilizes a unique combination of gentle touch and purposeful movement through the principles of counterbalance and rotation to create an individualized and profoundly effective therapy session. Michelle Turner is a movement specialist, who has developed her gentle touch therapy over the past decade. She helps infants, children, adults and elderly with acute to chronic pain with her non-evasive approach to the skeletal, muscular and nervous systems.
Michelle Turner is a movement integration specialist, educator and author of the Newborn Movement Assessment, who created a unique combination of gentle touch and purposeful motion allows her clients to achieve greater range of motion, balance, coordination and pain elimination. Children with special needs are particularly receptive to the application of this therapy and benefit from her personalized approach to address their specific needs. Adults have also been able to achieve better postural alignment, and gain an ease of motion and elimination of pain.
Movement Lesson, LLC was founded on the principle that everyone deserves a higher quality of life. Her extensive knowledge, dedication and individualized approach enable her clients to move forward to a richer, more rewarding and fulfilling future.
Turner holds a specialized Bachelor of Fine Arts degree, Illustration with a minor in Architecture from Syracuse University. She is very active in her community and has been involved with numerous programs such as: Jumpstart, Prestart, More Than Words by Fern Sussman at SARRC (Southwest Autism Research and Resource Center), Baby Program, Summer Program and PreSchool at FBC (Foundation for the Blind), Working with Children with Special Needs, Vitality, Sensuality and Youthfulness, in the 2007 training at the Anat Baniel Method Center. Rhythmic Movement Training (RMT) Level One - Primitive Reflexes and ADD/ADHD, Rhythmic Movement Training (RMT) Level Two - Emotions and Inner Leadership 2012, Cranial Rhythms.
